Through a process of the interaction of chance and control, Clara Gesang-Gottowt in each work seeks something new, an exacting where one action leads to the next in a process where addition and subtraction are of equal importance. Each new work of art is a possible alternative to the foregoing, and a clue to the next.
Clara Gesang-Gottowt (b. 1985) graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm in 2013. She has been awarded numerous grants and has exhibited in galleries and art centers in Sweden and abroad. She is represented in the collection of Moderna museet and Malmö Konstmuseum.
