Ingvild Hovland Kaldal

Ingvild Hovland Kaldal, born 1985 Trondheim NO, lives and work in Malmö. Graduated from Malmö Art Academy with an MFA in 2015 and holds a BFA from Valand Art Academy. Ingvild Hovland Kaldals work circle around the places you go to escape, and the places that lead to this need of escape. Be it physical or psychological. She explores the in-between spaces of psychology and perception; the transient gaps bordering dream and reality, idea and representation. Her works have been shown in Sweden and internationally. The book titled “Blod som skuggor i vatten” is Kaldals first publication and was released at Malmö Konsthall november 2020.
