Amaranth is a 100x165 cm oil painting portraying a vast, flat landscape, with perennial plants in the foreground and a bush on the right hand side. The painting’s vibrant colours are a significant feature of the artist’s landscapes. Stockwell, born in Boston in 1958, lives and works in Sweden. He had his first show with the gallery in 2004. This exhibition presents a series of twelve powerful landscape paintings.
