In the exhibition at Norrtälje kunsthalle Elina Brotherus shows a new way of working. This comes from the idea that a change in her artistic work was necessary. After working for 20 years in an autobiographical practice where every pose has already been made, she wants to work in a different way.
Instead of focusing on the traditional poses, Brotherus has chosen to work on the Event Score from the Fluxus Movement. There are a series of instructions or instructions for creating your own artwork. These instructions are referred to as Event Scores, of events as in event, and scores that in this context can be seen as scores in music, that is, as an instruction to follow and tune. Several famous artists have used the working method, including George Brecht, John Cage and Yoko Ono.
