About the artists
Temat för 2019 års sommarutställning med Absolut Art Collection är fotografi. Vi visar 60 fotografiska verk från samlingen, skapade av 23 internationellt kända konstnärer inom konst och modefotografi. Urvalet minner om tillkomståren 1990 – 2004, hiphopens och technomusikens årtionden, tiden för kalla krigets slut och den digitala erans barndomsår.
Bland de utvalda verken finns Helmut Newtons ikoniska modefoton tagna i ett svenskt sommarlandskap och Annie Leibovitz kändisporträtt, först publicerad i Vanity Fair i jubileumsnumret till millenieskiftet 2000. Den svenske fotografen Dawids suggestiva fotogram är även de en höjdpunkt.
The theme of the 2019 summer exhibition with the Absolut Art Collection is Photography. The show presents 60 artworks from the collection, created by 23 renowned photographers in the fine art and fashion industry.
Made between the years 1990-2004, they reflect the decades of Hip-Hop, Techno, the end of the cold war and the beginning of the digital era. Among the chosen artworks are Helmut Newton’s iconic fashion photo-graphs shot in an idyllic Swedish summer landscape and Annie Leibovitz’s celebrity portraits, first shown in the Millennium celebration edition of Vanity Fair. The evocative photographs by Swedish photographer Dawid are another highlight.
