This ambitious event is a neat collaboration between the city and the art museum. Sweden’s fourteenth largest city, Borås, has been colonised by outdoor sculptures at three different sites around town. Linda Wallenberg, the curator, has put together a mix of works by fifteen contemporary artists. Among them is the internationally renowned American artist Andrea Zittel. Matthias van Arkel, from Sweden, has made an impressive sculpture titled Sarkofag L, which is a mansized box covered in multicoloured silicone and leaning towards a tree in a birch forest clearing. The event is complemented by a mobile application, and a guided tour is offered twice a week.
