These two Malmö based artists have made them spend a great deal of time out in public, and their photographs are testament to that. Mårten Lange’s pictures of pigeons are shot in Trafalgar Square. The series Citizen comprises intriguing black and white portraits of individual birds. Stylistically, they resemble classical portraiture and fashion photography. Olof Nimar’s Fixed Breeze is a sequence of images taken in an artificial park in Mexico City. His images show a grey, abstract landscape. Even though there are no people around it is not difficult to imagine children playing around the park, and climbing the rocks.
