Ry David Bradley (b. 1979, Melbourne, Australia) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in London. He creates figures that hover between being real and imaginary. They are part human, part painting: digital tapestries that speak both to the past and the present. Ry calls his work “Classical Digital".
The landscapes, being made of small blocks in a new technique that relates to Impressionism (but in a 21st Century way) are more about focusing on the game like worlds we now inhabit, where the natural world can resemble a game world. In this blockchain time, the landscape changes with us.
Oli Epp (b. 1994) is a painter living and working in London. Deformed, quirky and exuberant figures inhabit Oli Epp’s canvas, often staged within theatrical settings. Easy to read at first glance, these hyper-dramatised characters reflect upon our complex relationship to technology and social media.
Epp’s idiosyncratic aesthetic fuses realistically painted details in oil with graphic techniques in airbrush and linear masking.
