Opening reception: Saturday June 10, between Noon and 4pm.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by art critic Peter Cornell at 1pm.
Norrtälje konsthall describes the exhibition:
We're invited in to an aquatic world packed to the gills with sound, light, shadows, film and sculptures. Among the many wonderful experiences that await are a meeting with a reclining masked figure covered with fish and seashells, not to mention other beautifully crafted mermaids and magical sea creatures.
For anyone enchanted by Tilda Lovell’s representation at at Lars Bohman Gallery in 2015, this poetic description should make for reason enough to visit the exhibition. Lovell graduated from the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, in 2003. Her work varies in terms of material from wooden forms to video, but they always bring the world to life. More often than not, she creates wonderful, complex and poetic universes.
