The modernist artist Bror Hjort (1894- 1968) is primarily known for his wood sculptures and relief works. His studio and private home, located in a leafy suburb of Uppsala, is open to the public. A contemporary art programme is display in the adjoining gallery, which also features a gift shop and a café.
